* Senior Rich Williams reached double-figures for the team-leading 11th time this year with 10 points to go along with five rebounds at Fairfield.

* Manhattan's defense limited Fairfield to just 55.5 ppg, on 38.5 percent (42-of-109) shooting - 28.3 percent (15-of-53) from deep - this year compared to 87.0 ppg, on 52.2 percent (60-of-115) shooting a year ago - 52.4 percent (22-of-42) from long range a year ago.

* The Jaspers are 4-1 at home this year and 53-27 at Draddy Gymnasium during Masiello's seven seasons, including 40-20 during MAAC play.

* Manhattan ranks among the top-three in the MAAC in seven defensive categories: forced turnovers (15.6-1st), scoring defense (69.9 ppg-2nd), blocks (3.5 bpg-2nd), rebounding defense (34.5-3rd), steals (6.5 spg-3rd) and 3-point FG% D (.329-3rd) while limiting the opposition to less than 70 points eight times.

* The Jaspers have led the MAAC in forced turnovers in three of the last four years (2015-2016, 2014-2015, 2013-2014) while ranking among the top-two in each of the last five seasons and are 22-12 under Masiello when forcing at least 20 turnovers during his seven years.

* Senior Zavier Turner had five assists, against just one turnover, in the win at Fairfield after handing out a career-high nine assists against Rider and is averaging 11.2 ppg and 4.4 apg with a 2.4 assist/turnover ratio during MAAC play.

* During that time, the Indianapolis native eis also shooting 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from the field, including 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from deep, and 81.8 percent (18-of-22) from the line.

* Turner, who hit a first-half ending halfcourt buzzer beater at Monmouth, is averaging 8.5 ppg and 3.6 apg (t-7th MAAC) while posting a 1.4 assist/turnover ratio (10th MAAC) and making good on 78.3 percent (12th MAAC) from the line.

* Manhattan rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit in its 101-96 overtime win at Marist thanks to earning 10 steals and forcing 20 miscues.

* The Jaspers registered 10 steals for the second-straight game in the victory over Marist and are 39-10 when notching double-figures in steals under Masiello.

* Manhattan went 18-of-19 from the line over the final five minutes/overtime at Marist with Williams going 9-for-9, highlighted by converting three with less than two seconds to play in forcing extra time.

* In the last five minutes/OT of its six-point games, the Jaspers are shooting 42.9 percent (30-of-70), including 40.0 percent (10-of-25) from long range, and 75.3 percent (55-of-73) from the line while holding teams to 41.3 percent (43-of-104), including 31.6 percent (12-of-38) from deep.

* Waterman led the Jaspers at Marist with 23 points and 12 rebounds in registering his fifth career double-double, his 11th career 20-point performance and his 10th double-figure rebounding outing.  

* Waterman is 32nd on the all-time Manhattan scoring list with 1,087 career points and ranks among the league leaders in scoring (10.7 ppg-24th) and rebounding (6.3 rpg-6th).

* Williams notched his fifth 20-point performance of the year and the 12th of his career with a game-high 20 at Monmouth after scoring 20 in the come-from-behind win at Marist.

* Williams, who scored a scored a season-high 24 points against NIU, ranks among the league leaders in scoring (14.1 ppg-14th), 3-point FG% (.426-6th) and free throw percentage (.795-11th).

* The fifth-year senior has also made good on 93.3 percent (14-of-15) from the line in the Jaspers' 10 games decided by five points or less and now has 986 career points.

* Two years ago against Siena, Williams averaged 17.3 ppg while shooting 51.4 percent (19-of-37) from the field, including 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from deep, highlighted by 26 points against the Saints in the 2016 MAAC Tournament.

* Paulicap scored nine of his career-high 19 points at Marist in overtime, highlighted by a pair of game-sealing dunks.

* Paulicap registered his first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds in the Manhattan's MAAC-opening win over Fairfield. 

* Paulicap has blocked at least five shots three times and paces the league in blocks (2.3) and field goal percentage (.584) to go along with 8.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg (10th MAAC) and 2.6 offensive rebounds per game (3rd MAAC).

* Paulicap's six rejections in the win over Hofstra, including three in the final five minutes, were the most by a Jasper since Rhamel Brown had nine rejections at Siena on February 21, 2014. 

* Paulicap had 17 points, on perfect 6-for-6 shooting, and eight rebounds against NIU to cap a solid week at the Gulf Coast Classic, in which he averaged 10.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 4.0 bpg over the three-day event.

* In the month of December, Manhattan held teams to 66 points or less five times with the opposition averaging just 64.1 ppg, on 40.4 percent shooting (36.6 percent - 2nd half), including 28.6 percent from long range (.222-2nd).

* In non-conference play, the Jaspers played nine road/neutral games with the program traveling over 5,800 miles, highlighted by trips to Belfast, Northern Ireland, Oklahoma and Florida while playing nine road/neutral games.

* Manhattan was the first-ever NCAA Division I team to win a game in Europe besting Holy Cross 70-54 on December 1, 2017 as part of the inaugural Belfast Classic in Northern Ireland before dropping a 56-55 thriller to Towson in the Championship.

* Crawford earned Belfast Classic All-Tournament team honors after averaging 14.5 ppg over games against Towson and Holy Cross.

* Crawford registered his second double-double of the year against Fordham with 11 points and 10 boards after recording his first with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Harvard.

* On the year, he is averaging 9.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg (15th MAAC) while shooting 39.3 percent from long range (13th MAAC) while notching double-figures in points eight times.

* This year, the quartet of Crawford, Turner, Waterman and Williams has accounted for 59.7 percent (696/1165) of Manhattan's scoring and 54.2 percent (297/548) of the Jaspers' rebounding. 

* Turner (1,221), Waterman (1,087), Williams (986) and Crawford (758) have now accounted for 4,052 career points.

* Manhattan was tabbed to finish second in the annual MAAC Preseason Poll and paced the circuit with three All-League selections: Waterman (1st), Williams (2nd) and Turner (3rd).

* Williams is the lone remaining member of the Jaspers' Back-to-Back MAAC Championship squads while Crawford and Waterman were also on the 2015 squad with the two having combined for over 2,000 points.

* Rutgers transfer graduate student Ibrahima Diallo made his debut for the program in the win at Marist, contributing four points and two rebounds. He has one more year of eligibility remaining after this season.

* Masiello has led Manhattan to a 110-102 (.519) record, including going 66-55 (.545) during MAAC play, and 53-27 (.673) at Draddy Gym over his seven seasons, including 40-20 vs. league opposition. He has also led the Jaspers to three MAAC title game appearances, three postseason berths, two Metropolitan Coach of the Year honors and two 20-win campaigns. He has also participated in the NCAA Tournament in 13 of his first 21 seasons as a player or coach, including being a part of eight conference champions and one National Title.

* Since returning to Riverdale, Masiello has guided Manhattan to a pair of MAAC titles as well as a pair of 20-plus win campaigns. In his first tenure as an assistant, he was a part of two MAAC titles and three 20-plus win seasons. All told, Masiello has been a member of four of Manhattan's five MAAC Championship teams and five of the school's 12 20-win seasons in recording a 192-138 record.

* Now in his 22nd season as either a player or a coach, Masiello has a career collegiate record of 473-248, including 352-220 on the sidelines, with one National Title, two National Championship Game appearances, two Final Fours, six Elite Eight berths, eight conference championships, 13 NCAA Tournament appearances and 15 20-win seasons.

OF NOTE
* The Jaspers topped the century mark at Marist for the first time since hitting triple figures in an 111-84 win over LIU Brooklyn on November 26, 2001 (33rd in program history).
* Manhattan, which scored 21 overtime points in the aforementioned win, rallied from 13 down in the second half against the Red Foxes while overcoming its second double-digit deficit of the year (St. Francis Brooklyn).
* It was also the Jaspers' biggest comeback victory since rallying from a 16-point George Mason second-half lead on November 25, 2015.
* Manhattan limited Fairfield to just 18.5 percent (5-of-27) shooting from long range in the teams' first meeting, including 6.7 percent (1-of-15) after halftime in its MAAC-opening win.
* Waterman became the 38th member of the program's 1,000 point club with his first-half slam in the 63-61 win over Hofstra.
* Manhattan drew five charges against Morgan State.
* Despite the loss to Towson, the Jaspers recorded a season-high 12 steals and forced 20 turnovers while scoring 21-straight points that were a direct result of a Tiger miscue.
* In the victory over Holy Cross, Manhattan ripped off a 26-8 run that bridged the end of the first half and the beginning of the second into registering a season-high 26 point advantage.
* The Jaspers forced five shot clock violations at Fordham after drawing six charges against NIU.
* Against Missouri State, Manhattan scored 12-straight points in the first half en route to a 17-3 run that took 6:13 while turning a six-point deficit into a 27-19 advantage with 5:43 to play until halftime.
* Manhattan defeated Harvard despite trailing with five minutes to play ... A year ago, the Jaspers went 1-19 when losing with five to play.
* In Manhattan's season-opening win over SFBK, Williams had 21 points before going for 20, on the strength of a career-high five three pointers, in a victory over Harvard. 
* Also in the win over Harvard, sophomore Aaron Walker Jr. registered all 11 of his markers in the final 5:51 in helping the Jaspers erase a late six-point deficit. 
* Walker Jr. also came up big in the victory over SFBK, canning a pair of late free throws to force OT.
* In the OT win over SFBK, Manhattan scored on four straight possessions in the extra session and 7-of-9 en route in a win that featured 14 lead changes and five ties.

SCOUTING SIENA
The Saints are a young team that does not boast a single senior on the roster and is led by the trio of sophomore Ahsante Shivers (10.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg), freshman Roman Penn (9.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg) and classmate Prince Oduro (9.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg).

112TH SEASON OF JASPERS BASKETBALL
In its 112th season, the Manhattan men's basketball program boasts a 1357-1219 overall record (288-309 MAAC). The Jaspers' storied men's basketball team was established in 1904-05 and took a two-year hiatus during the 1943-44 and 1944-45 season due to World War II.
