Limited opponents to a team best .215 batting average... did not allow an earned run over final nine appearances of the regular-season... set career-high with five strikeouts at Fairleigh Dickinson (3/26) and Marist (5/3)... allowed just three earned runs versus MAAC opponents... picked up wins vs. South Alabama (2/29), Marist (5/3) and Saint Peter's (5/10)... played summer ball with the Peekskill Robins of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL)... was named ACBL Relief Pitcher of the Year... posted 6-0 record, 1.61 ERA and 52 strikeouts over 50 innings of action... led the ACBL with 19 appearances, tied for second in wins (6), was fourth in ERA (1.61) and strikeouts (52), while fifth holding opponents to .201 batting average.
2007: Appeared in 16 games, all out of the bullpen... posted a 1-1 record with a 4.12 ERA... picked up five saves... tied for second in the MAAC in saves among freshmen and tied for fifth overall... tied for third in program history for saves in a single season... recorded 12 strikeouts... made his collegiate debut at Wofford (3/10), working 1.1 perfect innings... picked up his first collegiate win the next day against Wofford (3/11)... earned his first collegiate save in the second game of the series sweep at Florida International (3/14), without allowing a hit or run in 2.0 innings of action... also closed the door in wins over Siena (4/1), Niagara (4/22), Rider (4/29), and Fordham (5/1)... struck out two in a perfect inning in the Jaspers' 9-0 win over Fairleigh Dickinson (4/18).
BEFORE MANHATTAN: A four-year varsity letter-winner at St. Paul Catholic... served as team captain his junior and senior seasons... earned All-Northwest Conference honors as a senior... played his summer baseball for the Unionville, Connecticut American Legion, twice earning Zone 1 American Legion All-Star recognition... also named 2006 Connecticut East/West All-State American Legion... lettered four years in basketball, serving as team captain as a senior... received 2006 Connecticut Coaches' Association Academic All-State honors, was a two-time Hartford Courant All-Academic Varsity Athlete Award... member of National Honor Society.
