Get to Know: Victoria Coglianese, Women's Rowing

I chose Manhattan College because of its proximity to the city, and the familiarity to my family. Both my mom and older sister attended Manhattan.

My major is Mechanical Engineering. I'm passionate about it because of the variety of opportunities it offers, the education and application of math and science to improve the world around us, and the skills developed through the discipline of engineering.

Most people don't know that I am from a military family, my dad recently retired as a career army officer and my family currently lives in Texas.

My favorite moment at Manhattan so far has been Springfest 2023. The memories from that day with my friends are so special to me with the variety of activities and events with them.

Much of my inspiration comes from both my older sister, and some of my older teammates. My sister's strength in her battle with cancer while in her senior year of college has been quite admirable. My teammates' demonstration of hard work and discipline in the sport and in their studies has been vital to my growth at Manhattan. Having these strong women in my life has inspired my immensely with my work ethic and how I carry myself.
