Rowing Closes 2022-23 Season at Dad Vail Regatta

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - Manhattan rowing finished competition today in the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River. The Jaspers raced three boats today in a total of five races.

The Jaspers JV 4 boat competed in the second final against Cabrini, Pittsburgh A & B, Merrimack, and Iona. Manhattan finished second out of the six boats finishing in 8:51.909. Merrimack narrowly edged the Jaspers for first place, as the Warriors finished first with a time of 8:49.775.

The Jaspers Varsity 4 boat competed against Merrimack, Boston University, Lafayette, and Penn State in the first semi, finishing fifth with a time of 8:53.026. They then competed in the "Petite Final" against Penn State, Robert Morris, and William & Mary. The Jaspers 4 boat finished third with a time of 8:55.462.

The Jaspers Varsity 8 boat competed in the second semi against Boston University, Iona, Robert Morris, and Western Ontario, finishing in fourth with a time of 7:47.034. The boat finished its 2023 campaign in the "Petite Final," competing against Army, Bryant, and Robert Morris. Manhattan finished the second final in 7:41.800, good for third place.
 
This regatta concluded the Jaspers 2022-2023 season. Manhattan will be back in the fall to start the 2023-24 season, with the schedule to be announced on a future date.
