DOVER, Del. – Manhattan scored eight straight goals spanning the second and third quarters to win at Delaware State, 15-8, on Saturday afternoon.
The Jaspers started fast with six in the opening quarter before their 8-0 that lasted close to 20 minutes of game time to pick up back-to-back wins.
Manhattan (2-1) got five goals from
Grace Lipponer. The YEAR scored four in the first half before adding her final marker during the third.
Julianna Iovine and
Meghan Rodino had two goals and an assist for the Jaspers.
Iovine, Lipponer, and Rodino scored the first five goals for Manhattan against Delaware State (0-2).
Delaware State led 2-0 after 10 minutes before Iovine scored her first at 9:19 of the opening stanza. The Hornets scored four in the fourth quarter while keeping the Jaspers off the scoreboard.

Ashley Gambardella and
Jessica Hise split time between the pipes for the Jaspers. Hise made six stops while Gambardella picked up the win after starting the game for Manhattan.
The Jaspers open the home portion of their schedule when they welcome the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut to Gaelic Park on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
