Riverdale, NY - With the cancellation of spring sports for the 2020 campaign, Manhattan Athletics has changed its ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week segment to an ATAX Senior Spotlight. Moving forward, seniors from all of Manhattan's spring sports will be featured three times a week.
Today's spotlight highlights Meredith Domaleski (Cutchogue, NY / Bishop McGann Mercy) from women's rowing and men's lacrosse's Justin Pape (West Islip, NY / West Islip).
Domaleski was a member of the Second Varsity 8+ team that placed sixth at last year's MAAC Championship, after winning the 'B' final the year prior.
"Meredith has an incredible energy for the sport and for her teammates," said Head Coach Alex Canale. "She was the engine room of our 2V8+ and is a true student of the sport."
A four-year member of the men's lacrosse team, Pape played in 10 games. As a freshman, he notched his first career assist against Marist.
"Justin has been a great energy giver and teammate while here at Manhattan," said Head Coach Drew Kelleher. "He brought a great attitude and enthusiasm to every practice and game."
