Canale holds a US Rowing Level II Certification as well as Red Cross first responder and professional rescuer training.
A former student-athlete at Loyola University (MD), Canale was a four-year member of the Greyhounds' rowing team before graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. He then earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Peter's University.
