Senior Emma Kaishian earns All-MAAC honors for the third-straight year

Kaishian Leads Six All-MAAC Honorees

Fairfield, CT Senior defender Emma Kaishian (Yorktown, NY / Yorktown) became the first Manhattan student-athlete selected to the All-MAAC First Team since 2009, while senior attack Molly Fitzpatrick (Yorktown, NY / Lakeland), senior defender Caitlin Murphy (Carmel, NY / Carmel) and senior goalkeeper Nikki Prestiano (Yorktown Heights, NY / Yorktown) were tabbed to the All-MAAC Second Team at the league's annual postseason awards banquet.

The quartet also give the Jaspers a school-record matching four All-MAAC selections for the fourth time in program history and the first since 2009.

Freshman Cassidy Burns (Massapequa, NY / Plainedge) and classmate Grace Lipponer (Lake Grove, NY / Sachem North) were each also slated to MAAC All-Rookie team to round an impressive showing by Manhattan.

Kaishian Highlights:
* Becomes the first Jasper to earn All-MAAC First Team honors since 2009 (Chrissy Gutenberger).
* Earns All-MAAC recognition for the third-straight season while becoming just the fourth player in program history to be lauded by the league three times.

* Is just the 15th All-MAAC First Team honoree in school history, and the 12th student-athlete to be tabbed to the first team.
* Paces the MAAC and ranks 13th nationally with 3.24 ground balls per game.
* Is also tied for the MAAC lead and is 29th in the NCAA with 1.76 caused turnovers to go along with a team-best 58 draw controls.
* Twice was selected as the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week.
* Had season-high seven ground balls in wins over LIU Brooklyn and CCSU while forcing eight turnovers in victory against Marist.

Fitzpatrick Highlights:
* Fitzpatrick's 47 goals are the most by a Jasper since 2009 and the fourth most in a single-season.
* Ranks fourth in the MAAC and 56th nationally with 2.76 goals per game.

* Registered multiple-goals in 15-of-17 games, including at least three 10 times.
* Scored a career-high six goals against in the MAAC Tournament against Marist.
* Went over the 40 goal mark for the first time in her career at Niagara, highlighted by notching the game-winning score in double-overtime thriller.

Murphy Highlights
* Broke out in a big way with a career-high 26 goals, 16 assists and 42 points.
* During MAAC play, recorded a team-leading 22 points.

* Notched multiple-goals in a game on nine occasions.
* Scored a career-high four goals in win over Marist, before adding three in the rematch.
* Delivered the game-winning goal in victory at Siena.

Prestiano Highlights
* Collected a school-record matching 11 wins.
* Tops in the MAAC and 12th nationally with a 9.16 GAA and is second in the league with a .475 save percentage (24th NCAA).

* Lauded as the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week three times.
* Recorded double-figures in saves on six occasions.
* Turned away a season-high 17 shots in 7-6 double-overtime win at Niagara.

Burns Highlights:
* Is the second-ever Manhattan student-athlete (Gutenberger-2009) to earn MAAC Rookie of the Year accolades.
* Scored 15 goals with a team-leading 25 assists, en route to finishing with 40 points.

* Her 25 assists are sixth in the MAAC, third in program history and the most by a Jasper rookie.
* Had eight multi-assist performances, including five with at least three.
* Collected three MAAC Rookie of the Week citations.
* Registered two goals and four assists in win over Lafayette, before scoring three times with two assists in victory against Iona.

Lipponer Highlights
* Scored 24 goals with 12 assists in producting 36 points.
* Had seven multi-goal performances, including three hat tricks.

* Earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors four times.
* Had a career-high five points in win over LIU Brooklyn and three goals in victories over Iona and Sacred Heart.
* Delivered the game-winning score in thrilling 12-10 victory over Marist.

Burns was also cited as the MAAC Rookie of the Year while Head Coach Katie McConnell took home BSN Sports Coach of the Year honors. For that release click HERE.
