Philadelphia, PA - Three Manhattan field performers took home top 10 finishes at the 2018 Penn Relays on Friday, April 27.
Freshman
Anu Awonusi placed seventh in the men's shot put, hitting a distance of 16.44 meters. More than a meter further than his previous performance at the 2018 Metropolitan Championships, Awonusi was the Jaspers' highest-ranked performer of the day. Teammate
Ryan Addlesberger (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) placed eighth in the shot, throwing a distance of 16.22 meters. He currently holds the longest shot put distance in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) at 16.68 meters.
Junior
Eric Waugh (Wheatley Heights, NY / Half Hollow Hills West) earned a ninth-place finish in the discus throw, earning a distance of 47.45 meters. Earlier this season, Waugh hit a distance of 48.85 meters, the MAACs second-best performance so far this season.
Senior
Fredrik Lofgren (Lund, Sweden / Lund University) placed 17th in the men's high jump, hitting 2.00 meters. Lofgren holds the conference's second-best high jump performance this season as well, when he jumped a height of 2.02 meters at the 2018 Mets.
