Villanova grabbed the early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first before Manhattan quickly answered in the top of the second. Senior
Brendan Bisset (New City, NY / Don Bosco Prep (NJ)) led off a single before advancing to third on an error and would score on an
Alex Cerda (So., Miami, FL / Florida Christian Prep) sacrifice fly.
Manhattan would take its first lead of the game on
Evan Brown's (GS, Ashburnham, MA / Bridgton Academy (ME) two-run home run in the top of the fourth in staking the visitors to a 3-1 lead.
The Wildcats would rally with four runs in the bottom of the sixth in jumping in front by a 5-3 count.
In the ensuing frame, Manhattan would respond with four runs on three hits and a pair of errors in taking a 7-5 lead. Junior
Fabian Pena (Miami, FL / Calusa Prep) delivered the go-ahead RBI with a base hit before Cerda added an insurance run with a RBI double.
Sophomore RHP
T.J. Stuart (Milford, CT / Joseph A. Foran) closed out the victory with his fourth save of the year thanks to notching 2.0 perfect frames.

Alexis Calderon (Bethlehem, PA / Liberty) struck out one over 1.2 innings in earning the win.
Pena was 2-for-5 with a run and a RBI to pace a nine-hit Jasper attack.
Manhattan will conclude its three-game weekend set in Philadelphia at Saint Joseph's on Sunday, March 18 with first pitch tabbed for 1:00 pm.
