Matt Forlow (Cold Spring, NY / Haldane) crushed his second home run of the year, but it wasn't enough as UNC Asheville salvaged the series finale against Manhattan by a 9-3 count at Greenwood Field.

Richie Barrella (Larchmont, NY / Canterbury Prep) followed with a run-scoring single. Senior
Brendan Bisset (New City, NY / Don Bosco Prep) capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly that forced in Pena.
The Bulldogs got one back in the bottom part of the frame and added to the lead with one in the fifth and two in the seventh in jumping in front by a 7-2 count.
Forlow led off the eighth with his second home run of the year, but Manhattan was unable to further dent the scoreboard.
UNC Asheville added two more run in the bottom part of the eighth in providing the final 9-3 score.
Brandon Lankford was 3-for-5 with a home run, double and three RBI to lead the way for the Bulldogs. LHP Jordan Carr struck out four over 7.0 innings while yielding two runs in earning the win.
Manhattan will next play at Villanova on Friday, March 16 at 4:00 pm.
