Rich Llewellyn (East Islip, N.Y. / East Islip) and sophomore
Neil Perry (Elkridge, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) bettered their seed time by almost two seconds in taking seventh with a mark of 1:34.45.
The 800-free relay squad of junior
Brandon Shields (Stony Point, N.Y. / George Mason), Llewellyn, Perry and Neuendorf also bettered their seed time by almost two seconds in finishing eighth with a time of 7:03.74.

Patrick Simonson (Metuchen, N.J. / St. Joseph's) were named to the 2016 Men's Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Session two of the 2016 Championships will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 11 with the 500-free prelims.
