Biography

2009: Earned a place on the MAAC All-Tournament Team, as well as a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team...Started all but one game in goal...Posted an 8-8 record with an 8.88 goals against average and a .541 save percentage...Recorded 10 or more saves 10 times, and had nine on two other occasions...Also corralled 44 ground balls...Collected two ground balls and caused four turnovers at Robert Morris on Feb. 27...Stopped 16 of 47 Princeton shots on March 8...Picked up first win of the season after making 15 saves at VMI on March 21...Registered a season-best eight ground balls twice (March 24 vs. Air Force, April 1 vs. Sacred Heart)...Made a season-high 17 saves to pick up the win at Saint Joseph’s on April 11...Won three straight decisions from April 22-May 1 to lead the Jaspers to the MAAC Championship Game...Allowed a season-low three goals and made 10 saves to earn the win against Mount St. Mary’s in the MAAC Semifinals (May 1)...Made nine saves against Siena in the MAAC Championship Game (May 3).

2008: Started 13 games in goal...Finished with a 6-7 record...Had a goals against average of 7.23 and a save percentage of .583...Also collected 33 ground balls, the fourth-highest total on the team, and caused four turnovers...Recorded double-digit saves six times and allowed six or fewer goals on six different occasions...Made 13 saves in the season-opening 10-9 overtime victory over Robert Morris (Feb. 23)...Also caused two turnovers in the win...Posted a season-high 15 saves in back-to-back games against Quinnipiac (March 1) and Bellarmine (March 8)...Registered a season-high six ground balls in the home win over Marist on March 29...Tallied an assist in the 8-4 win at Mount St. Mary’s on April 12...Gave up just four goals in consecutive games, an 8-4 win at Mount St. Mary’s on April 12 and a 12-4 victory over Wagner on April 16.

2007: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team...Started in goal in 13 games and played in 14...Had a 6-7 record with a .937 goals against average and a save percentage of .565...Finished seventh on the team with 20 ground balls...Recorded eight or more saves 11 times...Stopped 18 Delaware shots in the season-opener on Feb. 24...Made a season-high 19 saves and collected four ground balls in a win over Sacred Heart (March 10)...Allowed just one goal while making nine saves and securing three ground balls in a 16-5 win at Wagner on April 18...Notched 16 saves and three ground balls in the season-ending victory over Canisius on April 28.

2006: Emerged as the team’s starting goalie midway through the season, making nine starts and finishing with a 5-4 record...Led the NCAA with a save percentage of .663...Had a MAAC-leading goals against average of 6.78 and grabbed 17 ground balls...Earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors four times (Feb. 28, March 13, March 20, May 1)...Allowed eight goals or fewer seven times in nine games...Surrendered just four goals and made 19 saves to earn the win in his first collegiate start at Air Force on Feb. 26...Recorded 20 saves against Quinnipiac on March 8...Gave up just five goals and collected three ground balls against Saint Joseph’s on April 1...Ended the season on a three-game winning streak, not allowing more than seven goals in each game...Yielded just four goals and stopped 20 shots while also securing three ground balls in the win over Wagner on April 26.

Before Manhattan: Owns the only shutout in Plainedge High School history...Also holds the school record for career saves...Honorable Mention All-County in 2005...Named the team’s defensive MVP, as well as earning All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors as a senior...Played in Long Island’s Exceptional Senior Game...Selected Plainedge Lacrosse Humanitarian, as well as being named US Army Scholar-Athlete and a New York State Lottery Leader of Tomorrow...Served as captain of his club team, the Long Island Sting...Also played football and basketball.

Personal: Son of Joan and Jack...Majoring in secondary education...Has two sisters, Jaime, who played volleyball and softball at Molloy College, and Julie...Majoring in education...Volunteers extensive time with Manhattan campus ministry and the L.O.V.E. program, which does different service trips throughout the year...Has sponsored several trips of Manhattan students to Camp John Marc, a facility in Texas that works with children who have different life-threatening illnesses...Also serves as a tutor and moderates youth retreats twice a year...Born on April 22, 1987.
