RIVERDALE, N.Y. — Manhattan head coach
John Gallagher is pleased to announce the addition of 6-5 Guard Erik Oliver-Bush to the 2025-26 roster. Oliver-Bush, a native of Trenton, N.J., transfers from Saint Anselm College, where he was named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year last season.
In his lone season with the Hawks, Oliver-Bush averaged 11.3 points, three rebounds, and two assists. He shot 49.2 percent from the field, 35.2 percent from three, and 74.3 percent from the free-throw line, showcasing his impressive versatility as a scorer. He ranked ninth in field goal percentage in the NE10.
Oliver-Bush tallied 18 double-digit scoring performances, including two games with over 20 points. He registered a season-high 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting in a 107-99 win over the University of Bridgeport on December 21.
Oliver-Bush was crucial in helping the Hawks advance to the NE10 Quarterfinals, including dropping 17 points in the first-round win over American International College.
"Erik's ability to defend on the ball will help our defense in many ways," said Manhattan head coach
John Gallagher. "He did it in high school (at Roman Catholic) and at Saint Anselm's being the Rookie of the Year, and we expect him to do it as a Jasper. Erik just keeps getting better, and when I asked about him in the Philadelphia area, everyone said, 'he's tough.'"
Prior to arriving in Manchester, Oliver-Bush attended Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia, where he led the school to a Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in 2023.
Additionally, Oliver-Bush played a post-grad season at Mercersburg Academy (PA), where he was selected to the All-MAPL First Team for the 2023-24 season. He has played AAU basketball for K-Low Elite.
Oliver-Bush is the first addition to Manhattan's 2025 recruiting class.
