Women’s Basketball Falls to Fairfield on Saturday

RIVERDALE, NY – The Manhattan Jaspers women's basketball team (11-12, 5-9 MAAC) fell to the Fairfield Stags (21-3, 15-0 MAAC) by a score of 84-45 inside Draddy Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

  • Junior guard Hana Muhl cut Manhattan's deficit in half with a driving layup.
  • Senior forward Petra Juric added another two points on a pull-up jumper for her second basket of the day in the waning seconds of the second quarter.

  • Muhl registered a booming three-pointer to limit the bleeding on a feed from Nitzan Amar.
  • Sophomore guard Tegan Young opened the fourth quarter in style, scoring a three-pointer to give the Jaspers their first points in the final stanza.
