RIVERDALE, NY - The Jaspers kick off four of their next five games inside the friendly confines of Draddy Gymnasium beginning on Saturday. The tough task? Facing the reigining MAAC Champions, and unanimous preseason favorites, Fairfield Stags. The last meeting in Fairfield featured a double-digit point loss, and an injury sustained. Manhattan has fallen in five of its last six, and sit in eighth place in the MAAC table, clinging to a tournament spot. Manhattan surrendered a double-digit advantage to the Merrimack Warriors on Thursday night inside Lawler Arena, and were heartbroken down the stretch. Senior guard Ines Gimenez-Monserrat logged a season-high 25 points on 10-of-19 shooting with four assists, one block, and one steal as the Mallorca native attempted to put the team on her back. The last time Fairfield and Manhattan squared off, Gimenez-Monserrat led all Jaspers with ten.
