The Manhattan women's soccer team will continue MAAC play on Saturday, September 23 when it welcomes Mount St. Mary's to Gaelic park for a noon contest.
The Path: The Jaspers are coming off back to back draws to Siena (1-1) and Canisius (2-2) in their first two MAAC contests, bringing their overall season record to 1-3-3, and starting their conference record at 0-0-2. The Jaspers are preparing for their first home game of MAAC play, and their first time home in general in 16 days.Â
Leading the Way: Arancha Antunes, Kaitlyn Cooke, Sami Derrico, Kaylee Stowell, and Mayah Wheeler have each scored one goal apiece for the Jaspers. Margaret Brunk has made 31 saves at the goalkeeper spot after facing 42 shots.Â
All-Time Series: Last season was the first ever meeting between these two schools, resulting in a 1-1 draw in Emmitsburg.Â
Mount St. Mary's: Mount St. Mary's is 2-5-2 to start the season, including 0-1-1 in conference play. This past week they collected a 2-1 victory vs UMBC, followed by a 3-0 road loss at Fairfield.
