LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Manhattan women's track and field team made the short trip to New Jersey to compete in the Rider Invitational on Saturday.
Nicola Scaglione earned herself a first-place finish in the 5000m, crossing the finish line in 17:21.96. Today's performance was a new PR for the senior, beating her previous best by over 30 seconds.
Andria Scaglione finished in third while competing in the 1500m, completing the race in 4:43.84.
Makayla Dorvil took home sixth in the triple jump, leaping to a top mark of 11.12m. Dorvil also finished the 110m hurdles in fifth with a time of 15.83.
Isabella Sing finished the 200m in seventh place with a time of 26.79.
Mary Gill returns to Riverdale with a second-place finish, and a new PR, in the hammer throw with a top mark of 58.56m, shattering her previous PR of 58.56m.
Alexandra Caraher took home fifth in the same event with a top mark of 49.13m.
Yet another PR was set today, this one belonging to
Sjodin Fedikovich in the javelin, setting a new benchmark for herself with her throw of 32.10m.
Next on the schedule for the Green and White is the Penn Relays and Lions Invitational, both of which are set for next weekend.
