LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Manhattan men's track and field team took to the track once again, this at the Rider Invitational Saturday afternoon.
RJ Decker continued his dominance this outdoor season, picking up another win in the hammer throw while also setting a new PR in the event with his throw of 63.73m. Two other Jaspers found themselves in the top five in the event, with Joe Pelio and Myron Corpuz finishing in fourth and fifth with throws of 49.81m and 49.28m. Today's throw is a new PR for Corpuz.
Other top-five finishes in the field belong to Jackson Haft in the pole vault, coming in fourth with a height of 3.80m, and Peter Athanailos in the shot put, who also came in fourth with a top mark of 13.76m. Athanailos also earned third in the discus throw with a top mark of 42.17m.
On the track, the 4x100 squad of Ivan Lytovchenko, Kaya Simpson, Noah Jefferson, and Darion Lopez finished in second with a time of 42.23.
On the track, O'Dell Holland Jr. finished in third in the 110m hurdles, clearing the hurdles in 16.40 seconds. Andrew Simard also earned a third-place finish in the 800m, crossing the finish line in 1:56.85. In the same event, Johnelle Joe finished in eighth with a mark of 1:58.18.
Noah Jefferson took sixth in the 200m, finishing the race in 22.53. Michael Hennelly took ninth in the 1500m, completing the race in 3:59.57.
Next on the schedule for the Green and White is the Penn Relays and Lions Invitational, both of which are set for next weekend.
