BOSTON, MASS. – The 2022-2023 indoor track season wrapped up this weekend at the ECAC/IC4A Championships up in Boston for Manhattan.

Highlighting the Jaspers' performances this weekend was none other than RJ Decker, who won the IC4A Title in the weight throw with a top mark of 19.93m, barely beating out a thrower from Rhode Island who launched his weight 19.25m. Decker's win comes 30 years after coach Patrick McGrath took home the weight throw title.

Other top-10 finishers this weekend include Ivan Lytovchenko, who finished in ninth in the high jump, clearing 1.96m. In the women's side of the weight throw, both Kristin Stickdorn and Mary Gill finished in the top 10. Stickdorn finished in seventh with a top throw of 17.53m, while Gill brought home ninth with a distance of 16.95m.

The men's 4x800 relay squad of Johnelle Joe, Andrew Simard, Quemarii Williams, and Justin Jordaens took home a bronze medal, finishing their race in 7:33.98. The 4x800 time was a season-best by 20 seconds for a Manhattan team.

Other Jaspers to compete up in Boston included Kaya Simpson in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 8.87 seconds. Joe ran in the 800m, finishing in 1.56.17, while Jordaens finished his mile run in 4:17.02. Michael Hennelly ran in the 5000m, crossing the finish line in 14:32.26--a new PR. Isabella Sing competed in the long jump, finishing 18th with a top leap of 4.97m.
