Lucey Takes Third in Steeplechase at Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – A small contingent of the Manhattan track and field squad stayed up north this weekend and made the trek to Monmouth to compete in the Monmouth Spring Opener.

Leading the Jasper charge this weekend was Brendan Lucey in the 3000m steeplechase with a third place finish, finishing the event in 10:17.06.

Jaxon Newton finished in 14th in the 5000m, crossing the finish line in 15:36.19.

Andria Scaglione finished the 1500m in 4:55.79 while Ava Kowal ran the 400m in 1:05.01.

Manhattan returns to the track next week to run in the Colonial Relays.
