Jaspers Run at Fred Hardy Invitational

RICHMOND, Va. – The Manhattan track and field team recorded multiple top-five finishes at the Greg Hardy Invitational this weekend, with Makayla Dorvil leading the way with a 100m hurdle victory.

"We went into this outdoor season looking for a strong start to the season," said Director of Track and Field Kerri Gallagher. "I'm very happy with the results from both meets. We saw some event wins, personal bests, and a lot of areas of improvement that we can capitalize on over the next few weeks."

While Dorvil did take the win, finishing the race in 15.96 seconds, the other two Jaspers in the event also finished in the top 10, with Anya Alfonsetti-Terry and Isabella Sing coming in third and seventh, respectively.

In the same event on the men's side, O'Dell Holland Jr. came in fifth with a time of 15.99.

Three Jaspers ran in the 100m, with Alberic Gbaguidi coming in sixth for the men and Skye Lehr and Jada Mora finishing their races in 13.55 and 13.92.

The Jaspers recorded three top-10 finishes in the men's 400m, with Brian Saul leading the way in fourth with a time of 50.24. Right behind him in fifth was Brian Oduor with a time of 50.70 and Jay Glenn in fifth with a time of 51.04.

In the field, Joseph Pelio and Myron Corpuz earned fifth and sixth-place finishes in the hammer throw, with top marks of 48.21 and 46.38. Alexander Caraher finished in third in the hammer throw with a top throw of 47.44.

In the javelin, Sjodin Fedikovich and Skye Lehr placed in the top 10 with throws of 29.94 and 21.38.

In the shot put, Corpuz turned in another solid performance, accompanied by Peter Athanailos. Athanalios came in fourth with a top throw of 13.71, while Corpuz earned fifth with a throw of 12.27. On the women's side, Alexandra Caraher and Natalia Cieslak finished in the top six, with Caraher coming in fourth and Cieslak in sixth.

Jackson Haft took fourth in the pole vault with a top height of four meters. Alex Bilello and Shane McCorry took home third and fourth in the long jump, leaping to 6.29 and 6.08m.

The outdoor season continues next week with another trip down south, this time to the Raleigh Relays.
