RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The women's swimming and diving team finished the first day of the ECAC Championships in ninth with 50 points.
In the preliminaries, the women placed seventh, the highest prelim placement for the Jaspers today, in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team comprised
Abbey Mink,
Kyla Guilfoil,
Shayna Millard, and
Mackenzie Tuttle. The women also earned a spot in the finals in the 400-yard medley relay race, placing seventh again. Guilfoil, Tuttle, Mink, and Millard made up the team again.
For the finals, the women finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:36.94 in the A Final. This was the highest finish for Manhattan ever in this event, narrowly missing the school record set earlier this year. In the 400-yard medley relay, the women set a season-best at a time of 3:59.28.
The U.S. Naval Academy leads the championship with 164 points.
