RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan men's basketball is set for a two-game week with trips to Iona and Fairfield on tap.

Manhattan visits Iona on Friday and makes the trip to Fairfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Jaspers are coming off a 68-52 win over Saint Peter's on Sunday. Manhattan's defense held Saint Peter's to 23-percent shooting in the first half, and the Jaspers led for over 37 minutes against the Peacocks. Nick Brennen had 12 points to lead four Jaspers in double figures. Josh Roberts grabbed 16 rebounds and added six points. Manhattan outrebounded Saint Peter's 43-29.

Sunday was the Jaspers' seventh MAAC win of the season. The Jaspers' next MAAC win would equal its total from last season.

Iona swept the Western New York trip last weekend and is 18-7 overall and 11-3 in the MAAC. The Gaels have won five in a row and are tied with Rider for pole position in the MAAC standings. Walter Clayton Jr. paces the Gaels' attack at 16.3 points per game. Nelly Junior Joseph and Daniss Jenkins aver over 15 points per game for the Gaels. Iona possesses the top-scoring offense in the MAAC at 75.4 points per game.

Fairfield will visit Marist on Friday night before hosting Manhattan on Sunday afternoon. The Stags sit at 11-14 overall and 7-8 in MAAC play. Fairfield snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, 76-72, in overtime. Supreme Cook averages 13.1 points a night to pace the Stags. The junior also leads the team on the glass, grabbing 8.4 rebounds per game. Fairfield has four players averaging double figures in league play, led by Cook's 12.7.

Roberts continues to lead the MAAC in field goal percentage. The fifth-year forward sits at 70.2-percent, which is 12 percentage points clear of second place. Roberts sits third in Division I and is one of three players shooting over 70-percent this season.

Nick Brennen's 12 points on Sunday marked his fourth straight game in double figures. Ant Nelson had 11 on Sunday to put him in double figures for the fifth straight contest, and Samir Stewart was in double figures for the fourth consecutive game with his 11 on Sunday.
