The Jaspers (5-10) will look to return to their winning ways this week after suffering a pair of tough losses at the hands of Marist and Fairfield last week.
Siena will arrive in Riverdale for their first meeting with the Jaspers with an overall mark of 10-5 and a 4-1 record in the MAAC. They are one of the three teams, the other two being Fairfield and Iona, tied for the top spot in the MAAC standings. In MAAC play, the Saints are riding a four-game win streak after dropping their opener to The Mount. They have rattled off triumphs over Rider, Canisius, Fairfield, and Marist. The Saints and Jaspers shared one non-conference opponent, with both losing to Duquesne.
Siena's offense is paced by a pair of double-figure scorers, Anajah Brown (10.8) and Ahniysha Jackson (10.6). In the Saints' most recent game, Valencia Fontenelle-Posson registered 17 points while only missing two shots. Elisa Mevius handed out an impressive 14 assists.
This matchup could be decided on the glass, with these two team's being the top two rebounding schools in the MAAC. Siena is first, hauling in 42.9 rebounds, while the Jaspers are right behind at 41.6 per game.
