RIVERDALE, N.Y. – With the non-conference slate of matches now behind them, the Manhattan College men's soccer team now turns its sights to the back half of the schedule, MAAC play.
Currently, the Jaspers sport a 2-3-2 record which features two shutout wins over Holy Cross and Fairleigh Dickinson, both being 2-0.
As things stand right now, head coach
Jorden Scott has gotten offensive production from a large group of players. Three players have each netted two goals thus far,
Gunnar Studenhofft scored his pair against Holy Cross.
Henry Hamilton scored his two goals against George Washington and Columbia. Most recently,
Johan Velez put two away against FDU.
A theme in the offensive attack thus far has been the production of transfers, with the majority of goals being scored by newcomers to the program, a positive sign moving forward for the Green and White.
The MAAC slate opens with Rider on Wednesday, Sept. 28. with a trip to Rider. Rider is sitting at 1-5-1 overall heading into the midweek match. The last time these two clubs met on the pitch ended with a 2-0 win for the Jaspers to clinch a place in the MAAC Championship.
After the meeting with the Broncs, the Jaspers stay on the road for another MAAC match against Siena on Saturday, Oct. 1.
