WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Manhattan men's track and field team picked up two wins at the West Point Twilight on Thursday.
Marc Carrera won the 800m and
Quemarii Williams won the 400m. Carrera finished in a time of 1:54.73 to clip three Black Knights to take the top spot. Williams finished in 51.30 to win by 0.29.
Travis Delaney,
Justin Jordaens, and
Dom Boccia ran in the 800m. Delany finished fifth (2:00.03), and Jordaens was 9
th (2:01.61). Jordaens' time is a season-best.
Dom Boccia came home 10
th for the Jaspers (2:02.16).
David Lopizone was the top finisher for the Jaspers in the 1500m in ninth. Lopizone crossed the line in 3:56.96, which is a new collegiate-best outdoor.
Ryan Tierney finished 10
th (3:58.10), and
Michael Hennelly was 15
th (4:07.74).
The lone field competitor on Thursday was
Joseph Pelio in the hammer. The sophomore finished fourth in the hammer (50.36m).

PHILADELPHIA –
RJ Decker represented the Manhattan men's track and field team in the hammer on the first day of the Penn Relays.
Decker finished second after recording a best of 61.60m on his final throw of the day. It is a new personal best for Decker. The sophomore finished in front of a thrower from Clemson and Arkansas.
Friday, the Jaspers return to action at the Penn Relays and the Lions Invitational at TCNJ.
