Manhattan Weekly Preview

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan men's and women's lacrosse teams continue their regular seasons with a pair of games. Softball plays four home games while baseball has a full four-game schedule. Women's rowing continues its season, hosting the 2022 Jaspers Invitational on Overpeck Lake in Ridgefield, N.J. The men's and women's track and field compete at the Colonial Relays and the TCNJ Invitational.

The women's lacrosse team lost to Canisius on Saturday, 14-13. Meghan Rodino had a hat trick, and Grace Lipponer added three of her own for the Green and White.

Saturday, the men's lacrosse team fell at St.Bonaventure 15-9. In defeat, Liam Walshe added three goals, and Brendan Krebs had 15 saves for the Jaspers.

The baseball team took two in their three-game series against Canisius. Manhattan defeated the Griffs 6-1 on Sunday at Clover Stadium to wrap up their weekend slate. Pete Durocher went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, including a solo homer in the seventh that capped the scoring for the Jaspers (10-11).

On Tuesday, the Manhattan softball team defeated St. John's, 2-0. Megan Hedlund hit a pair of solo home runs in the second and fourth innings to secure the victory. Manhattan (5-12) also got a complete-game shutout from Ava Metzger.
