RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan women's basketball team continues its non-conference slate of contests this Friday with a trip down to the nation's capital for a 6 p.m. showdown with the George Washington Colonials.

The last time out for the Jaspers featured the 52nd edition of the Battle of the Bronx rivalry with Fordham. Fordham came away with a 65-55 win in Draddy. In that game, Bella Nascimento kept the momentum she gained from the pair of games out in Phoenix, posting a team-high 16 points in the contest. Dee Dee Davis contributed her second double-double of the season, dropping 15 points and hauling in 12 rebounds.
Fordham was able to make Petra Juric come back down to earth, ending his 20-point double-double streak at three games, holding Juric to eight points and seven rebounds.
As for the Colonials, they sit at an even 5-5 on the year and have yet to begin A-10 play. The last time out, they went to Fort Worth to take on TCU and suffered a 70-58 setback. There is one shared opponent between Manhattan and George Washington, Howard. Manhattan came away with a 58-56 win against the Bison while the Colonials also took down Howard, 83-62.
Offensively, George Washington's Mia Lakstigala has provided 15.2 points per game in addition to 5.9 rebounds. The other player to be average double-figures is Nya Robertson, contributing 12.4 points per contest.
