FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Manhattan women's swimming and diving team competed in the Fairfield Invitational on Saturday against Fairfield, Central Connecticut State, Wagner, Sacred Heart, and Southern Connecticut State.
The Jaspers placed twice in the Women's 50-meter freestyle.
Abbey Mink placed fourth in the 50-meter freestyle, only .05 seconds behind Fairfield's third-place finisher. This placement won Manhattan 11 points in the competition. The Jaspers also placed eighth in this race, credited to
Teddy Segmuller, who won Manhattan five points.
The women also scored 10 points in the 200-meter medley relay. The Jaspers finished eighth, in a time of 2:08.88, 2.5 seconds behind Central Connecticut State at 2:06.38.
In the 400-meter freestyle relay, the Jaspers scored 20 points by placing fifth, with a finial time of 4:11.72, 1.05 seconds behind Sacred Heart University in fourth.
Manhattans women's swimming & diving team competes again next Friday, October 14th, at 6 p.m. at Fordham.
