Women's Swim & Dive Team Drops Dual Meet Against St. Francis Brooklyn

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan women's swimming and diving team fell to St. Francis Brooklyn with a final score of 163-87. 

Saturday's meet marked the first home meet for Manhattan since Jan. 26, 2020. The dual meet took place at the Jeffrey H. Loria Family Aquatic Center.

"It was exciting to have our first home meet in nearly two years, I along with the kids were very excited to have the opportunity to compete at the Jeffrey H. Loria Family Aquatic Center," said head coach Eric Rasmussen
 
Despite losing the meet, the Jaspers performed very well in the individual races. Mackenzie Tuttle came in first in the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyles with times of 1:59.39 and 57.21, earning the Jaspers 18 points. Kyla Guilfoil came in first place in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 29.23, only .05 seconds ahead of second place. For the 50-yard freestyle, Abbey Mink and Teddy Segmuller took first and second for the Jaspers with times of 2.25 and 25.79. 
 
The Jaspers won the 200-yard relay with a final time of 1:44.66, scoring Manhattan 11 points. Tuttle, Guilfoil, Shayna Millard, and Mink made up the relay. 
 
Manhattan swims again on Friday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. against Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J.
