Jersey City, NJ - Led by senior
Cassie Riley (Fair Haven, NJ / Red Bank Catholic), the Manhattan men's and women's track and field teams registered five more victories on the second day of the Peacock Outdoor Invitational.
* Riley won the high jump with a personal-best leap of 1.67 meters (5-5.75), which was nearly two inches higher than her previous career-best of 1.60 meters (5-3).
* Sophomore
Andria Scaglione (Oceanside, NY / Oceanside) won for the third time this season during outdoor competition, outpacing the 800-meter field in a time of 2:24.03.
* Senior
Alexandra Preckajlo (Ocean, NJ / St. Rose) claimed the discus title for the second time in as many meets with a toss of 43.65 meters (143-2).
* On the men's side, freshman
Justin Jordaens (Yonkers, NY / Fordham Prep) won the 800 meters in a personal-best time of 1:56.36, shaving more than three seconds off his previous best.
* In the 5000 meters, junior
Liam Farrell (Hyde Park, NY /Â F.D. Roosevelt) also crossed the line first in a time of 9:11.12.
* Manhattan will return to action on Friday, April 16 at the St. John's Invitational at Icahn Stadium in New York.
