Riverdale, NY - Playing at Gaelic Park for the first time since the 2019 season, Manhattan turned in a complete performance in defeating defending MAAC Champion Iona by a 1-0 count.
* The Jaspers are now 1-1-0, while the Gaels are 1-2-0.

Danny DiMarco (Sparta, NJ / Sparta) made six saves in earning his first collegiate win via a clean sheet.
* DiMarco was aided by a smothering midfield that kept constant pressure on the Iona forwards.
* The Jaspers posted a 16-15 advantage in shots, with the Gaels registering advantages in shots on goal (6-4) and in corner kicks (8-7).
* After halftime there were eight yellow cards issued, with six being called on Iona.
