Riverdale, NY – Manhattan erupted for a season-high 10 goals, but it wasn't enough as the Jaspers dropped a 13-10 decision to Fairfield at Gaelic Park.

* The Jaspers are now 0-3, while the Stags are 4-0.

* Senior Alaina Burgess (Holden, MA / The Governor's Academy) led the Jaspers with a hat trick.

* Classmate Carmella Liscio (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee) scored the first of her two goals to give Manhattan a 3-2 lead 11 minutes into game.  

* The Stags jumped out to an 11-5 lead, before sophomore Jillian Reiner (Fair Lawn, NJ / Fair Lawn) netted a pair of goals, to cap a 3-0 run in drawing the Jaspers to within three with 12:40 remaining in the contest.

* Unfortunately, the Green & White were unable to get any closer.

* Junior Meghan Rodino (Natick, MA / Natick) added two assists for Manhattan.

* Sophomore Ashley Gambardella (Bethpage, NY / Plainedge) made a pair of saves in the first half, while freshman Jessica Hise (Wesminster, MD / Wesminster) played the final 30 minutes between the pipes for Manhattan.

* The teams will meet again on Sunday in Connecticut, with opening draw slated for 3:00 pm.
