Montgomery, NY - The Manhattan men's and women's cross country teams opened their seasons by competing in the Jasper Winter XC Invitational at Twin Farms at the Pond.

Notes
* In the women's 5k race, sophomore Andria Scaglione (Oceanside, NY / Oceanside) finished 13th with a time of 19:18.6 to pace the Jaspers.

* Quinnipiac won the team title with 34 points, with Manhattan placing fifth.

* In the men's 7.6k race, senior Chris Emerson (Westbury, NY / Kellenberg Memorial) crossed the line 28th with a mark of 27:16.8 to lead the way for the Jaspers.

* Monmouth won the men's team title with 32 points, with Manhattan taking fifth.
