Jaspers Fall to Rider

Riverdale, NY - Manhattan lost to Rider in three straight sets (22-25, 12-25, 22-25) on Wednesday night in Draddy Gymnasium. The first and third sets had little separating them until late runs from the Broncs ultimately created separation from the Jaspers. 

*The opening set consisted of eight lead changes while the third set featured four lead changes. Manhattan led by as much as four on two occasions early in the third set before the Broncs reclaimed the lead.

*Erin Hoener and Lizzi Brown each tallied nine kills to pace the Jaspers. Hoener was also credited with three block assists on the night. 

*Libero Ashley Chan recorded 17 digs while Camryn Paulson also reached double-digits with 10 to lead the Jaspers defensively. Paulson rounded out her performance with 22 assists on the night.

*Anilee Sher racked up 41 assists for Rider while adding six digs to her record. Morgan Romano and Tori Schrader had 17 and 13 kills respectively for the Broncs.

*After the Jaspers battled back to get within two at 10-8 in the second set, the set would ultimately end with an 8-1 run for the Broncs.

*The Jaspers return to Draddy on Saturday, October 9 when they face off with Iona at 1:00 p.m.
