T.J. Stuart (Milford, CT / Joseph A. Foran) went the distance in the nightcap to secure his first win of the year, as Manhattan earned a split of today's doubleheader with UAlbany at City Park.

Matt Padre (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) and sophomore
Sam Franco (Bardonia, NY / Clarkstown South) each went 4-for-8 with solo home runs to pace the offense on the day.
The Jaspers took game two by an 8-3 count, after the Great Danes won game one 5-2.
Manhattan is now 3-8, while UAlbany is 6-5.
Game Two
Stuart retired the first nine batters he faced and struck out eight, while yielding just one earned run and three hits over 7.0 dominating frames.
The Jasper offense scored eight runs on eight hits, including five of the extra-base variety, as the Green & White posted the aforementioned 8-3 victory.
Manhattan jumped in front in bottom of the second with a one-out rally. Padre laced a double to right center, before senior
Alex Cerda (Miami, FL / Florida Christian School) and
David Moffett (Oneida, NY / Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) were each plunked to load up the bases. Freshman
Alfredo Delgado (Bronx, NY / Fordham Prep) followed with a sacrifice fly to plate the game's first run.
The Jaspers added to their lead with two runs in the third inning. Junior
Will Trochiano (Morganville, NJ / Marlboro) reached via an error to lead off the frame and Franco immediately followed with a run-scoring double. On the play, Franco came around to score on a throwing error by the catcher.
UAlbany would finally get on the board in the top of the fourth with two runs thanks to a pair of Jasper errors.
The Great Danes would then threaten to tie the game in the fifth as Matt Soloman laced a hit down the left field line that sophomore
Nick Cimillo (Airmont, NY / Suffern) was able to get to quickly and keep the runner at first. Following a routine fly, Soloman was erased on the bases trying to steal by Padre.
In the bottom part of the frame, Manhattan added to its lead with four runs while chasing LHP Ray Weber from the game. Senior
Richie Barrella (Larchmont, NY / Canterbury Prep) was plunked leading off the frame and Padre followed with a single. After moving to second-and-third on a Cerda sacrifice, Moffett laced the first pitch he saw down the left field line for a two-run double. Sophomore
Jonathan Barditch (Miami, FL / Belen Jesuit Prep) then smacked a RBI triple to right center to easily bring around Moffett. Barditch would then come around to score on a error to cap the scoring while stretching the lead out to 7-2.
Cimillo would cap the scoring for the Jaspers with a solo home run to left center in the sixth inning, before Marc Wangenstein answered with a solo shot of his own to provide the final 8-3 score.
Padre was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs, while Franco went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run to pace the offense.
Wangenstein was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI to highlight the UAlbany effort.
Game One
UAlbany posted a 5-2 win over Manhattan thanks to rapping out 11 hits.
The visitors were able to scratch out a run in its first trip to the bat thanks to an infield single and a blooper, before senior RHP
Nick Massa (Shrewsbury, NJ / Red Bank Regional) quickly restored order with a pair of strikeouts to limit the damage.
In the bottom of the first, sophomore Franco immediately tied it at 1-1 when he launched an absolute laser over the centerfield fence in registering his first home run of the year.
Fueled by his back-to-back punchouts, Massa settled into a groove and retired the next nine batters he faced.
The Great Danes were able to manufacture single runs in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings in opening up a 5-1 advantage.
Padre got one of those runs back in the top of the ninth when he hit an inside-the-park home run to left field.
Franco was 2-for-4 with a home run, while Cerda went 2-for-4 with a double to pace a six-hit Jasper attack.
Massa struck out seven and didn't walk a batter over 8.0 innings.
Alex Thul went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI to highlight a Great Dane effort that produced 11 hits.
LHP Craig Scherrer struck out seven while yielding one run on five hits over 8.0 innings in earning the win.
