Atlantic City, NJ -
Top-seeded Siena defeated Manhattan 63-49 in MAAC Quarterfinal action at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.

In defeat, senior Pauly Paulicap (Elmont, NY / Harcum College) earned his second-straight double-double and the 10th of his career with 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Paulicap was a force from the onset for the Jaspers, scoring the Green & White's first seven points of the night.

The teams battled over the first eight-plus minutes of the first half, as Manhattan trailed by a scant 13-12 margin following a Warren Williams (So., Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) layup, when the MAAC Regular Season Champion Saints responded with an 11-0 run.

Trailing 34-25 at the break, the Jaspers twice cut the deficit to seven points early in the second, only to see Siena use a 8-0 spurt to stretch the lead out to 46-30 with 13:07 remaining.

Down but not out, Manhattan responded with a Williams layup and a Tykei Greene (So., Queens, NY / Long Island Lutheran) three pointer to quickly make it an 11-point game. Unfortunately, the Saints answered with an 8-1 spurt to stretch their advantage out to an insurmountable 54-36 at the eight-minute mark.

Hinckson had nine points, six rebounds and two assists, while sophomore Elijah Buchanan (Bronx, NY / Woodstock Academy (CT)) chipped in with eight points and three assists to round out the top statistical performers for the Jaspers.

Manhattan (13-18) shot just 34.5 percent (20-of-58), including 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from deep, while Siena (20-11) made good on 45.6 percent (26-of-57) and posted a 40-35 advantage on the glass.

Manny Camper had 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while MAAC Player of the Year Jalen Pickett chipped in with nine points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the way for the Saints.
