Day One Results
Buffalo, NY – The Manhattan Women's Swimming and Diving team made history on night one of the MAAC Championships, breaking the school record in the 800 Freestyle relay.

Kali Nembach (Lynbrook, NY / Lynbrook), freshman
Mackenzie Tuttle (Highland Mills, NY / Monroe-Woodbury), freshman
Teddy Segmuller (Gainesville, VA / Foxcroft School) and freshman
Ciara Dalton (Pleasantville, NY / Byram Hills) raced to a 8:00.19 finish, setting a school record and earning 14 points for the Jaspers.
On the men's side, the night was highlighted by a strong finish for the 200 medley relay team of senior
Timothy Valentine (Massapequa, NY/ Chaminade), juniors
Derek Lederer (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee) and
Charles Ledda (New Fairfield, CT / New Fairfield) and sophomore
Kyle Bergin (Lynbrook, NY / Lynbrook), who touched the wall in 1:34.50 earning 22 points.
In the diving well, sophomore
Lexington Passamonte (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena) earned a 12th place finish and five points after posting a score of 173.15.
"It was a great first night of swimming, starting off with our relays," Head Coach
Patrick Malone said. "We are excited for the rest of the meet."
The meet continues tomorrow morning at 10:00 am with preliminaries before the evening session that will feature the finals of 200 Freestyle relays, the men's 3-meter diving finals, and the 500 freestyle finals.
