Manhattan Drops Decision At Rutgers

Junior Dee Dee Davis (Bronx, NY / Preston) scored a team and season-high 18 points, but it wasn't enough as Manhattan dropped a 84-41 decision at the RAC.

The Jaspers fall to 3-3 while the high-powered Scarlet Knights improve to 5-1.

Senior Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds in registering her fourth double-digit rebounding performance of the year, and the 36th of her career.

Arella Guirantes registered a triple-double with 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the way for Rutgers.

Notes
* Davis paced the team in scoring for the first time this year, while notching double-figures for the sixth-straight game to start the year.
 
* Warley led the squad on the glass for the sixth-straight game to start the year.
 
* Graduate Student Pamela Miceus (Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) blocked two shots and now has 79 for her career, moving into a tie with Brita Hinkle for eighth place in the program's all-time annals. 
 
* Freshman Favour Mbeledeogu (Anambra, Nigeria / Linden Hall For Girls) made her collegiate debut, and scored her first collegiate points.
 
* Manhattan converted on 78.9 percent (15-of-19) from the line.

* The Jaspers are now 0-7, all-time, against the Big 10 and 0-3, all-time, against Rutgers.

* Manhattan assisted on nine of its 11 field goals, fueled by three from Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland).
