Meet Highlights:
- Tierney finished fourth overall in the men's 8K race, hitting a time of 26:30.86, about six seconds off his 8K best, achieved at the MAAC Cross Country Championships last season. He finished just behind Princeton runners Jakob Kintzele (26:17.87) and Sam Ellis (26:29.27) and Rutgers' Nick Pschunder (26:27.83)
- Scaglione improved on her 5K performance from last week's Marist meet, finishing 10th overall Saturday with a time of 19:05.1, helping the Jasper women to a third-place team finish behind Harvard and Princeton.
- Nicola Scaglione (Oceanside, NY / Oceanside) and Rory Graham (Burnt Hills / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) again came in second and third, respectively, for Manhattan, as they did at Marist. Nicola Scaglione finished 16th in VCP Saturday, recording a 5K time of 19:33.4. Graham came in three seconds later at 17th, earning a finish of 19:36.2.
- Michael Hennelly (Suffern, NY / Suffern) earned a 10th-place finish for the Jaspers men with a career-best 8K time of 27:06.97, improving on his previous 8K PR of 27:19.8 set at last year's MAAC Championships.
- Chris Emerson (Westbury, NY / Kellenberg) came in 15th overall for Manhattan, also setting an 8K career-best with a time of 27:33.27. His previous PR for the 8K distance came at last year's Fiasco, where he finished in 28:44.9.
- With just four runners in the men's race, Manhattan was unable to receive a team score.
The Jaspers will travel north to Wappingers Falls, NY for the Army West Point Open on Friday, September 13. The women will race at 9:45 a.m., with the men following at 10:30 a.m.
