Piscataway, N.J. – Manhattan (0-2) continues their season opening six game road trip at RV Rutgers on Saturday night at Yurcak Stadium in Pisactaway, N.J.

Testing Yourself
The combined record so far of Manhattan's first five non-conference opponents is 14-3-1. In addition, the Jaspers first five opponents of the season are all ranked in the major college soccer polls. Season opener Lehigh is ranked fourth in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region poll. St. John's moved up to number 17 in the Soccer America poll following the 3-0 win last week. This week's opponent Rutgers is ranked third in the United Soccer Coaches North Region poll, and is receiving votes in the National Top 25 poll. Next week's foe, UCONN, is currently listed 28th in the College Soccer News Top 30 and is ranked seventh in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll. St. Francis of Brooklyn is also ranked fourth in the United Soccer Coaches Northeast Region poll. The only non-conference opponent not currently ranked in the polls is Battle of Bronx rival Fordham.

Series History
This will be the second ever meeting between Rutgers and Manhattan. The Scarlet Knights won the first meeting 3-0 on August 31st, 2008 in New Jersey. Rutgers is led by first year head coach and former Fordham head coach Jim McElderry. The last time the Jaspers faced McElderry as the head coach of Fordham, the Jaspers downed the 25th ranked Rams 1-0 at Gaelic Park.

Scouting the Opponent Quotable
"We can't wait to build on the progress we have made over the last few weeks.  We never wanted it easy and can only get better based on the challenges we face early in preparation for the MAAC.  Rutgers are 4-0, we are playing in a great stadium under the lights against a Big 10 opponent - it doesn't get any better and we are looking forward to the test," said Head Coach Jorden Scott.
