Wappingers Falls, NY - Manhattan men's cross country took home third place at the Army West Point Open, held Friday, September 13 in Wappingers Falls, NY.
Highlights:
- Aidan Donahue (Rockaway Park, NY / Xavier) crossed the finish first for the Jaspers, recording a time of 26:13.0 for the 7.6K course in Bowdoin Park. He came in 12th overall.
- Freshman Quemarii Williams (Danville, IL / Danville), racing in his second collegiate meet, was the Jaspers' second finisher, placing 14th with a time of 26:29.9.
- Adam Alshoubeki (Monroe, NY / Monroe-Woodbury) rounded out the top 15 for Manhattan, earning a time of 26:47.8.
- Michael Crorkin (Bronx, NY/ Xavier) improved on his 7.6K time from last year's Army Open by more than 40 seconds, finishing in 26:54.7 (17th). Teammate Marc Carrera (Staten Island, NY / St. Peter's) also recorded an improved 7.6K time, finishing nine seconds faster than a year ago at 27:20.3 (18th).
- Freshman Joseph Devito (Staten Island, NY / Monsignor Farrell) placed 20th at the meet with a time of 28:09.3.
- As a team, Manhattan compiled a score of 64 points, while first place Army earned 15. Army the defending Patriot League champions, tallied all of the race's top five runners.

Manhattan will race in the Monmouth Harry Mercer Invite, held in Holmdel Park, home of the 2019 MAAC Cross Country Championships, on Saturday, September 21. The men will race at 9:30 a.m., with the women's race starting at 10:15 a.m.
