Buffalo, NY - Manhattan Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving concluded the 2019 MAAC Championships on Saturday evening at the Burt Flickinger Center with a pair of records and multiple seasonal-bests.

Both teams finished in tenth place. The women grabbed 81 points and the man collected 143 points.

After his record-breaking performance in the 100 Back on Friday, sophomore Artur Polyak (Haifa, Israel / Pittsburgh) followed it up with a fourth-place result in the 'A' final of the 200 Back, earning a school-record time of 1:48.10. The time represents a .37-second improvement from the previous record Lance Neuendorf '16 set in 2014.

In the final race of the meet, the Jasper Men's 400 Free Relay quartet of Polyak, senior captain Evan Battisti (East Meadow, NY / East Meadow) sophomore Charles Ledda (New Fairfield, CT / New Fairfield) and freshman Kyle Bergin (Lynbrook, NY / Lynbrook Senior) smashed the six year-old school record in 3:07.96.

For the women, senior Megan Pagano (LaGrangeville, NY / Arlington) recorded a season-best in the 200 Back preliminaries, sliding in the top 25 at 2:13.74. Classmate Klaudia Nagrabska (Belmont, MA / Belmont) did the same in the 200 Breast, going for a time of 2:32.00 to place 20th.

On the diving board, freshman Lexington Passamonte (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena) improved on her preliminary time in the one-meter, scoring 154.60 to earn 12th place.

With the conclusion of the 2018-2019 Swimming & Diving season, the Manhattan men's team set records in eight different events and posted four wins, a tournament win, and set a program record for points in the ECAC Winter Championships. The women's side notched a win against Saint Peter's earlier in the season and developed its diving program, as Passamonte established records in the one- and three-meter dives.

The Jaspers will graduate nine seniors this May in captains Battisti and Morgan Fountain (Cheshire, CT / Cheshire) as well as Nagrabska, Pagano, Abie DeLisio (Woodstock, NY / Kingston), Tameryn Huffman (Albuquerque, NM / Cibola), Genna Lederer (Blauvelt, NY / Tappan Zee), Cassandra Rubino (Thiells, NY / North Rockland) and Kathryn Voitik (Moscow, PA / Scranton Prep).
