Jaspers Close Out XC Season At IC4A Championship

Bronx, NY - Manhattan men's cross country finished the 2019 season close to home, racing in the IC4A Championship 8,000-meters at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, November 23. 

Highlights:
  • Senior Adam Alshoubeki (Monroe, NY / Monroe-Woodbury) paced Manhattan, finishing 123rd with a time of 28:21 and improving on his 2019 Metropolitan Championship time by nearly a minute (29:18.3). 
  • Sophomore Marc Carrera (Staten Island, NY / St. Peter's) finished just behind Alshoubeki in 124th place, earning a time of 28:24 and also finishing better than his Mets time (29:03.7). 
  • Michael Crorkin (Bronx, NY / Xavier), a sophomore, finished four spots back from Alshoubeki in 127th with a time of 28:44. He was followed by freshman Quemarii Williams (Danville, IL / Danville) in 129th. Williams, in his first VCP meet, earned a time of 28:56.
  • Columbia's Tyler Berg won the men's IC4A Championship with a time of 24:52. Providence took home the team title.
