Racing on the University at Buffalo North Campus after a change from the Audubon Golf Course due to unsafe course conditions, Scaglione and Nogueira turned in the Jaspers' best performances of the day, with Scaglione earning a PR in the 6K at 21:00.0. She placed 70th overall in a field of 266 runners. Nogueira finished 118th (30:57.2) out of 265 competitors in his first 10K race of the season.
Highlights:
- All three Jasper women ran a personal best on Friday.
- Scaglione was followed by fellow freshman Rory Graham (Burnt Hills, NY / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), who finished 145th with a time of 22:01.8. This was the first race this season that Graham has earned the spot as the Jaspers' second finisher.
- Nicola Scaglione (Oceanside, NY / Oceanside) placed 179th for the Manhattan women, coming in at 22:32.5.
- On the men's side, Nogueira was followed by David Lozipone (Massapequa Park, NY / Kellenberg Memorial), who placed 130th with a time of 31:05.0. Ryan Tierney (Staten Island, NY / St. Peter's) came in next for the Jaspers at 143rd (31:18.4), while Michael Hennelly (Suffern, NY / Suffern) was Manhattan's fourth finisher with a time of 31:22.6 (150th).
- Harvard won both the men's and women's team competitions Friday.
- UAlbany's Hannah Reinhardt won the women's 6K with a time of 19:28.4, while Alex Masai of Hofstra won the men's 10K.
- Manhattan did not race a full team on the either the men's or women's side.
