Riverdale, NY - Manhattan scored three times in the final seven-plus minutes of game action to post a decisive 3-0 win over Fairfield in MAAC action at Gaelic Park.
Junior Brandon Joseph-Buadi (Brighton, England / Woodard) smashed home his first goal of the season in a crucial moment for the Jaspers, as the striker's goal in the 83rd minute would prove to be the eventual game-wiinning score. th minute put the Jaspers in front 1-0.
Senior Noah Amissah (London, England / Orleans Park) sealed the game with just 30 seconds reamining, stealing the ball right in front of the Stags and easily slotting it into the back of the net.
For good measure, junior Berti Fourrier (Marseille, France / La Grande Bastide (IFC Marseille)) put the icing on the cake with an incredible score with just four seconds to play. After knifing into the box, he fired on a laser on that was saved and rebounded directly back to him. Fourrier then went airborne and applied the finishing touches on a 3-0 win, sending the ball into the back of the net on a beautiful finish.
Senior Marcellin Gohier (Nantes, France / CENS) made one save in registering his 15th career shutout, as Manhattan improves to 4-8-0 and a 3-3-0 during MAAC play. The Jaspers held an 18-12 advantage on shots, including 14-5 in the second half, while also peppering nine shots on net compared to just one for the Stags. Manhattan also earned a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Amissah led the way with five shots, putting four on net. Fourrier and Joseph-Buadi had four and three shots respectively, while senior Adrien Awana (Bordeaux, France / University of Bordeaux) and classmate Tristan Doran (Jupiter, FL / Benjamin) each recorded two shots.
