Manhattan Hosts Saint Joseph's On Alumni Day


Riverdale, NY –
Returning from a three-game road swing with a two-game winning streak, Manhattan is back at Gaelic Park for a two-game homestand, with the first game against Saint Joseph's on Saturday, September 15 at 7:00 pm.
 
Fans not at the game can watch the game online courtesy of the Jasper Sports Network. Live stats will also be provided.
 
Alumni Game
  • In addition to Saturday evening's contest, the program is also hosting its annual Alumni Game at 2:00 pm.
  • Guests are encouraged to arrive at 1:30 pm.
  • Alumni that attend the game against the Hawks will be honored on the field during a halftime ceremony.
  • Last season, the Jaspers celebrated their 50th anniversary with a resounding 5-0 win over Marist on September 30. The celebration also included alumni appearances spanning from the inaugural 1967 team to recent graduates.

Scouting Report: Saint Joseph's
  • The Hawks enter Saturday's contest 4-2 and are fresh off a 2-0 win over Navy on Tuesday.
  • Saint Joseph's is playing its third of four MAAC opponents this year, having already defeated Saint Peter's and Quinnipiac.
  • Alvin Dahn headlines the Hawks offense with three goals and four assists. His two points per game average ranks 17th in the nation.
  • This will be the ninth meeting all-time between the Jaspers and the Hawks, with Saint Joseph's sporting a 4-2-2 advantage in the series.
  • In last year's matchup between these two sides, forward Noah Amissah delivered his first career goal as the Hawks notched a 2-1 overtime victory.
  • Manhattan's last win vs. Saint Joseph's came in 2006, a 2-1 decision in the Philadelphia Soccer Classic.
