Tampa, FL - Manhattan's
Ire Bozovicar (Potoki, Slovenia / Gimazija Jesenice) has moved on to compete in the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, OR. The senior field performer qualified for the discus throw national championship after finishing 12th in the east region on Friday, May 25 in Tampa, FL.
Bozovicar's qualifying distance of 53.81 meters came on his first throw in Friday's competition. The throw was approximately one meter under his personal best of 54.83 meters, recorded at the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships earlier this month. Bozovicar won gold in the event.

Love Litzell (Ostersund, Sweden / Wargentinskolan) and freshman
Eduard Winner (Tel Aviv, Israel) each earned top 30 performances in their respective field events at the prelims, the first of a MAAC-high five student-athletes from Manhattan to compete in the regional competition. Litzell competed in the men's hammer throw, hitting a distance of 60.99 meters and finishing in 30th overall. Winner finished 27th overall in the pole vault with a height of 5.00 meters.
Two Jaspers are still left to compete for a trip to Oregon alongside Bozovicar. Sophomore
Brenton Foster (Townsville, Australia / William Ross) will compete in the high jump at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, while teammate
Ryan Addlesberger (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) will compete in the shot put at 5:30 p.m. that day. Events can be watched
