Live Results

Piscataway, NJ -
With several stellar performances from Manhattan track and field already this outdoor season, the Jaspers are eager to take on the region's best at the 2018 Metropolitan Outdoor Championships, beginning Friday, April 13.

The Jaspers will open competition with the men's and women's hammer throw, pole vault, and heptathlon. Senior Love Litzell (Ostersund, Sweden / Wargentinskolan) currently holds the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's (MAAC) longest men's hammer throw, hitting a distance of 61.12 meters at the 2018 Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC in March. Nicholas Kocienda (Seaford, NY / Seaford) also competing Friday, holds the MAAC's fourth best hammer throw performance this season, hitting a personal best distance of 50.00 meters at the Sam Howell Invitational earlier this month. Alexandra Preckajlo (Ocean, NJ / St. Rose), who holds a top 10 MAAC performance in the hammer throw this season, will also compete in the women's event. Freshman Eduard Winner (Tel Aviv, Israel), the MAAC leader in the pole vault, will compete Friday, attempting to best his personal record of 5.05, set at the Shamrock Invitational.

Later in the day, competition will move to the men's and women's decathlon, javelin, 3,000-meter steeplechase, and 10,000 meter race. Both Lasma Padedze (Ogre, Latvia / Ogre Secondary School No. 1) and Charlene Pohl (Bisingen, Germany / Gymnasium Baligen), the MAAC's third and fourth javelin performers this season, respectively, will take on the event on the women's side, while Timothy Iannuzzo (East Brunswick, NJ / St. Joseph) and Anthony Yanni (Brooklyn, NY / Xavier) who have top 10 MAAC javelin performances this season, will compete in the men's event. Four Jaspers: Jack Consolini, Rory Grady, Nick Matson, and Kate Huggard will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while distance runners Chris Emerson, Drew Reda, Caitlin Hartnett, Sam Hoagland, and Grace Ostolozaga will race in the 10,000-meters.

Met competition will continue on Saturday with the long jump, triple jump, discus, shot put, and high jump. The MAAC's most recent Male Field Performer of the Week, Ire Bozovicar (Potoki, Slovenia / Gimazija Jesenice) will headline the discus event, after hitting a personal best and league-leading distance of 54.18 at Sam Howell.

On the track Saturday, the Jaspers look to dominate the sprint races, competing in the men's and women's 100-meters, 200-meters, 400-meters, 4x100, and 4x400. Will Stallings (Sleepy Hollow, NY / Sleepy Hollow) holds the team's best time in the 200-meter race (22.58), good for third in the MAAC, while his teammates Jordan Greene (Boston, MA / Newton North) and Alexander (A.J.) Moore (Colonia, NJ / John F. Kennedy) are fourth and fifth in the league, respectively. Stallings and Moore will also take on the men's 400-meters.

Senior Paige Chapman (Abingdon, MD / Harford Technical) will take on the 100-meter and 200-meter races (she currently sits at second in the MAAC in the 200 with a time of 25.14). She'll also contribute to the women's 4x100 team, which includes Niasa Boone, Tiahana Mitchell, and Ana Ordonez-Ratamar.

In the distance races, Manhattan will put forth junior Lisa Fajardo (Brooklyn, NY / Bishop Kearney) in the women's 1500-meters. Fajardo holds six running school records so far in her career, and recently set the Manhattan record in the 10,000-meter race at the Colonial Relays. Senior John Dove (Monroe, NY / Monroe-Woodbury) will also race in the men's 1500.

These are just some of the Jaspers competing at the Mets this weekend. Manhattan fans can follow along with the rest of the competition via the meet's live results page.
